| The Olympic Peninsula in Western Washington State is located between Puget Sound and the Pacific Ocean. The Olympic Peninsula is home to some of the world's few temperate rain forests. To us the Olympic Peninsula means lush green forests, abundant wildlife, wonderful hikes, summer days on the lake, clam digging the ocean beaches in the winter, and nearly 300 days a year on the river catching Salmon and Steelhead. The Olympic Peninsula is home to 16 national park service camp areas as well as many commercially operated RV parks, campgrounds, resorts and hotels. The Olympic Peninsula is home to the Humptulips, Quinault, Queets, Quillayute, Bogachiel, Sol Duc, Lyre, Elwha, Dowewallips, Skokomish, Hamma Hamma, Dungeness and Wynoochee Rivers. The Humptulips River is famous for it's fall returns of King Salmon. The Sol Duc is a favorite for fly fisherman. The Quinault and Queets rivers are reserved mainly for the Native American Tribal Members to fish for support of their communities. And the Wynoochee River is one of the best rivers in Washington State for Steelhead Fishing. The Olympic Peninsula is also famous for it's beautiful natural lakes. Some of the lake you may enjoy on your visit to the Olympic Peninsula include the Wynoochee Lake, Lake Cushman, Lake Crescent and Lake Quinault. Wynoochee Lake and Lake Cushman are excellent lakes for summer boating, while Lake Quinault and Crescent are great for fishing. We are located in Montesano, Washington, which is near the southern tip of the Olympic Peninsula. Our home waters here include the Wynoochee, Chehalis and Satsop Rivers.
